		<description>I&#039;m wanting to know how a medical lien in Louisiana is perfected. Can the medical hospital or dr fax the liens or does it have to be mailed by certfied mail?

One example was a battered woman who was waiting for her settlement to have enough money to leave her abusive spouse.  There are privacy interests at stake here.
